Immersive Learning

Through an immersive environment, children are surrounded by the sights, sounds, and experiences of the Mandarin language, creating a natural and engaging way for language acquisition. Our dedicated educators design purposeful play experiences, incorporating stories, and hands-on activities to immerse children in the Mandarin language. We foster a love for learning and language exploration, empowering children to become confident and fluent Mandarin speakers.

Language Development

In our Mandarin Playgroup class, language development takes center stage. Through our immersive Mandarin environment, children are exposed to rich linguistic experiences that ignite their curiosity and love for language. Our educators facilitate interactive play experiences, incorporating storytelling, songs, games, and hands-on activities to engage children in meaningful language interactions. By fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, we empower children to express themselves, build vocabulary and develop conversational skills. Through play, we unlock the door to a world of language possibilities, nurturing lifelong learners who embrace cultural diversity and appreciate the power of communication.

Building Connection

Through meaningful interactions and relationships, children learn valuable life skills such as empathy, communication, cooperation, and problem-solving. In our playgroup classes, we create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children have the opportunity to engage with their peers, educators, and the wider community. Through collaborative play, shared experiences, and group activities, children learn to navigate social dynamics, build friendships, and develop a sense of belonging. We empower children to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically, nurturing their holistic development.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Wilderness community for being Maya’s rock since she was 8 months old! You have provided her with safety, love and care throughout her years with you, which is why she loves waking up and going to school EVERY morning. The things she has learned, while being part of your community, are life skills which she will remember forever. I like to use the word, community not school, because that’s how it makes us all feel – being part of something truly great and inspiring. Whenever a parent asks me why I chose Wilderness, why do I think it’s so great, I share this story: Maya came home one afternoon tired and grumpy. She was getting agitated because she had to sit at the table while she was eating. All of a sudden, I noticed she was doing something with her fingers and closing her eyes. Coby and I looked at each other in confusion. When she opened her eyes, I asked her what she was doing. She explained that Ms. Amelia has taught them how to take relaxing breaths by swaying their index fingers over their others’ hand fingers. She showed us and we were both amazed. Forget about letters and numbers, self-regulation and meditation is something we try to achieve as adults, and yet, here was my 3 year old practicing something we struggle with every day!”
